Before you can attend events, receive invitations, or show interest in locations, you need to be on the platform. Joining The Secret Society is a structured process — you download the app, register your profile, and then wait for your application to be reviewed by our team. This article walks you through every step, from download to approval, and explains what to do if your application is not accepted the first time.

Step 1 — Download the App

The Secret Society is available on both major mobile platforms:

• App Store — for iPhone users
• Google Play Store — for Android users

Search for "The Secret Society" in your store of choice and download the app. The platform is mobile-first — everything from event discovery and invitations through to check-in and deliverable submission happens within the app. Ensure you are running the latest version after downloading.

Step 2 — Choose Your Registration Path

When you open the app for the first time, you will be prompted to register. There are two distinct registration paths:

Register as a Guest This is the path for content creators who want to attend events, receive invitations, and produce content for venues and brands on the platform. If you are a creator looking to access experiences, this is your registration type.

Register as a Manager This is the path for venue representatives, brand managers, and operators who manage activations on the platform. If you are here on behalf of a venue or business, register as a Manager. Manager registration is subject to a separate onboarding process handled by the sales and account management team.

This article focuses on the Guest registration path.

Step 3 — Complete Your Profile

After selecting the Guest registration path, you will be asked to fill in your profile information. This is one of the most important steps in the entire process — your profile is what our team reviews when deciding whether to approve your application.

Take your time with this. A thoughtful, complete, and well-presented profile has a significantly higher chance of being approved than a rushed or incomplete one.

Your profile will typically include information about:

• Your personal details and contact information
• Your social media accounts and content platforms

Key principle: Your profile is your first impression. It should reflect the same quality and intentionality that you bring to your content.

Step 4 — Submit Your Application

Once your profile is complete, submit it for review. At this point, your application enters the queue to be assessed by our team.

What happens after you submit:

• Our team reviews your profile against the platform's standards
• This review considers your content quality, aesthetic, audience alignment, and overall suitability for the types of experiences The Secret Society
• You will receive a notification once a decision has been made

How long does review take? Review timelines can vary depending on application volume. If you have not received a response within a reasonable period, you can reach out through the support channel for an update.

Step 5 — The Profile Review

Our team reviews every application individually. This is not an automated filter — it is a genuine assessment of whether your profile is a strong match for the platform and the venues and brands that use it.

What the review looks at:

Content quality — Is your existing content well-produced? Is the photography or video work strong, consistent, and of a standard that would reflect well on premium venues and brands?

Aesthetic consistency — Does your content have a recognizable, coherent visual style? A clear personal aesthetic is one of the strongest signals that a creator is ready for the platform. Inconsistent or scattered content is harder to place in the curated experiences The Secret Society offers.

Audience alignment — Does your audience match the type of demographic that venues and brands on the platform are looking to reach?

Overall profile completeness — Is your profile fully filled in? Does it present you clearly and professionally?

Platform suitability — Does the overall picture of who you are as a creator fit the nature of The Secret Society's experiences and the standard of the venues involved?

If Your Profile Is Approved

Congratulations — you are now a member of The Secret Society. From this point, you can:

• Browse events available in your approved locations
• Show interest in events you want to attend
• Receive invitations
• Begin building your presence and track record on the platform

Your profile approval is the start of your journey, not the end. Everything that follows — the events you attend, the content you produce, the ratings you receive — contributes to your standing on the platform over time.

If Your Profile Is Rejected

Not every application is approved on the first submission, and a rejection is not a permanent door closing. It is feedback an invitation to improve and try again.

When a profile is rejected, you will see the message that contains genuinely useful guidance. Here is what it is telling you:

Keep Creating ✨ We're not able to approve your profile right now, but we'd love to see you try again. A quick tip: focus on a consistent, high-quality grid with strong visuals and a clear personal style. Refine your content and reapply — we'll be excited to review it.

What "Consistent, High-Quality Grid" Means

Your social media grid — particularly on Instagram — is the primary window into your content as a creator. When our team reviews your profile, they are looking at this grid to understand your style, your quality standard, and your visual coherence.

A strong grid has:

• A consistent visual tone and color palette
• Images and videos that are well-lit, well-composed, and clearly produced with care
• A recognizable aesthetic
• Content that flows coherently from post to post

A weak grid has:

• A mix of very different styles with no clear thread
• Low-quality images — blurry, poorly lit, or casually snapped
• Gaps between consistent, quality content
• A look that does not reflect the premium standard of venues and brands on the platform

What "Clear Personal Style" Means

A clear personal style means that someone looking at your content can immediately understand who you are as a creator. There is a coherent point of view, a recognizable aesthetic, and a consistent voice.

This does not mean all your content must look identical. It means there is a thread running through it that makes it unmistakably yours.
