Submitting deliverables
Overview
Completing your deliverables is not just about submitting something before the deadline. It is about submitting the right content, in the right format, into the right block, in a way that meets the quality standards set by the platform and the venue. This article covers the full submission process — from uploading correctly to handling QC rejection and working within the correction window.
How to Upload Deliverables Correctly
When you are ready to submit your deliverables, navigate to the "To Deliver" section in the app and locate your event. You will see a list of blocks, each representing one specific requirement.
For each block:
- Read the requirement carefully — before uploading anything, re-read what is being asked for in that specific block
- Prepare the correct content — ensure you have the right type of file, post, or review ready
- Upload into the correct field — each block has its own submission area; do not mix up content across blocks
- Confirm the submission — once uploaded, verify that the content has been received and marked correctly
The most important rule is to put the right content in the right place. An Instagram Story cannot substitute for a feed post requirement. A tagged photo cannot replace a written review. Each block has a specific purpose and must be fulfilled with the content it calls for.
How to Avoid Rejection
Rejection happens when submitted content does not meet the requirements for a specific block. Understanding the most common reasons for rejection helps you avoid them.
Missing required tags — If the deliverable requires you to tag the venue, the event, or The Secret Society, and those tags are absent from your submission, the content will be rejected. Always double-check that every required tag is included.
Wrong content type — Submitting a video when the block requires a photo, or a Story when a feed post is required, will result in rejection. Match your content type precisely to the requirement.
Low quality or incomplete content — Content that is blurry, poorly framed, or clearly rushed may not meet the quality standard expected. Take time to create content that genuinely represents the experience.
Missing elements — Some deliverables have multiple components: a caption, a tag, and a specific hashtag, for example. If any one of these elements is missing, the entire block may be rejected.
Not following instructions — Every block has instructions. Read them. If they say to post before midnight on the same day, post before midnight on the same day. If they specify a minimum story duration, respect that requirement.
A helpful approach is to treat the deliverable instructions as a checklist. Go through each element one by one and confirm it is included before submitting.
What Happens After You Submit
Once you submit your deliverables, they enter a quality control (QC) review process. The QC team reviews all submissions to ensure they meet the standards required by the platform and the venue.
During this review, the team checks:
- Whether all required content has been submitted
- Whether the content meets quality standards
- Whether all required tags, captions, and elements are present
- Whether the content was posted within the required timeframe
- Whether the submissions match the specific requirements of each block
This review may happen quickly or may take some time depending on submission volume. You do not need to take any action during the QC review period — simply wait for the outcome.
What Happens If Your Deliverables Are Rejected
If your submission does not meet the required standards, the QC team will reject it and notify you. The notification will include:
- Which blocks were rejected
- The specific reason for rejection
- What needs to be corrected
Do not ignore a rejection notification. Receiving a rejection does not mean you have received a strike — not yet. It means you have an opportunity to fix the issue and resubmit.
The 12-Hour Correction Window
When your deliverables are rejected, you are given an additional 12-hour window to correct and resubmit them. This is your second chance to fulfill your responsibilities.
During this window:
- Review the rejection feedback carefully — understand exactly what was wrong with your submission
- Make the required corrections — fix the specific issues identified, whether that means adding missing tags, replacing incorrect content, or creating new material
- Re-upload into the correct blocks — resubmit the corrected content before the window expires
The 12-hour correction window is generous but not unlimited. Treat it as urgent. Work on the corrections as soon as you receive the rejection notification, not at the last minute.
What Happens If You Miss the Correction Window
If your deliverables were rejected and you fail to correct and resubmit within the 12-hour window, your participation is treated as incomplete. The consequences are the same as failing to submit deliverables at all:
- A Strike is applied to your account
- Your account is temporarily deactivated for 6 days
This is a serious outcome that can be avoided entirely by acting promptly when you receive a rejection notification.
What Happens If You Miss the Initial 24-Hour Deadline
If you fail to submit any deliverables within 24 hours of the event — without the excuse of a QC rejection — the outcome is the same: a Strike is applied.
There is no grace period for the initial submission deadline. The 24-hour window is firm, and the system closes once it has passed.
This is why planning your content creation during and immediately after the event is so important. Waiting until the following day because you were tired or busy after the event is one of the most common causes of missed deliverables.
Tips for Completing Deliverables Efficiently
Capture content during the event. Think about what you need to create while you are still at the venue. Take photos, videos, and any other material you will need. It is much harder to reconstruct the right content after you have left.
Review the deliverable requirements one more time at the venue. Open the "To Deliver" section while at the event and review what you need to create. This helps you ensure you are capturing the right material in the right format.
Start submitting as soon as you leave. Do not wait until the morning after a late-night event to start uploading. Even if you are tired, begin the submission process while everything is fresh.
Use the checklist approach. For each block, treat the requirements as items on a list. Tick them off one by one before submitting.
Submit with time to spare. Do not cut close to the deadline. Submitting 6–8 hours after the event, rather than 23 hours after, leaves room for potential QC rejection and correction.
Summary
Submitting deliverables correctly requires uploading the right content into the right block, meeting all specific requirements, and doing so within 24 hours of the event. After submission, your content enters QC review. If rejected, you will be notified with details of what needs to be fixed, and you have a 12-hour correction window to resubmit. Missing either the initial deadline or the correction window results in a Strike and temporary account deactivation. Plan your content creation during the event itself, begin submissions early, and treat rejection notifications as urgent action items.
